Question: Are there any queer-friendly therapists / mental health professionals in Guelph and the surrounding area. I am having a very difficult time right now and need some help.
Here are a few known private counsellors and therapists in the Guelph area that explicitly state provision of services to the Queer community, and have experience doing so. Fees for these private counsellors will vary.

The Couple and Family Therapy Centre located on campus at the University of Guelph is open to the general public and provides therapy at a sliding scale with shorter wait times than many other places. These services are provided by graduate students in the M.Sc. program in Couple and Family Therapy, supervised by highly experienced professionals.

“Couple & Family Therapy is about you and your relationships – your family, friends, work and community. We collaborate with people to help them with the relationships that are important to them. To do this work we meet with couples, families, individuals, friends, co-workers and others. We build on the skills that people have already developed and work with them to explore new possibilities. We work with people from the community, adults of all ages, adolescents, and children with their families, and people with diverse cultural, ethnic, economic, religious backgrounds, sexual orientations (LGBITTTQQ friendly) and family relationships.” (From homepage for their website)
